Eleven-Year-Old Boy Eats 500 Insects and Becomes a Millionaire!
A Danish schoolchild in the Artic Circle fed on trapped insects and ate their body parts to cure genetic diseases before a meal of vegetable soup. Gross, right!? This eleven-year-old, who is now nicknamed “Bug,” and is now a millionaire, has always had a heart for kids with genetic diseases but never known how to help them.
Five days ago, Bug read in the news about $1,000,000 promised to the first brave person who would eat the 500 bugs which would be provided. Bug jumped at the chance, and his parents, who couldn’t dissuade him, could only hope he wouldn’t get very ill. (Thankfully, he hasn’t . . . yet.)
Yesterday, three young men who ran the ad arrived with the trapped insects, $1,000,000, and a crowd of reporters. Bug courageously ate the 500 bugs, so the reporters claim, in one hour, which is the equivalent of 8-and-a-half insects per minute!
When he was through with the bugs, the $1,000,000 safely disposed of, and the reporters and young men gone, Bug washed down the unpleasant taste of 500 insects with a bowl of his mother’s delicious vegetable soup.
Reporters say the three young (and very wealthy) men wished for “a little excitement.” That’s a lot of money for a short-lived “excitement.” Was it a wise use of their money?
The Bible tells us to be generous with the things He has blessed us with, but we must be wise with the things we spend our money on, and our motives.
Bug says that he is “thrilled that I can finally help kids with genetic diseases. I’ve always wanted to help them, and now I can.” Bug wisely intends to use his money by donating it to places that help cure babies with genetic diseases.
